P.S. Unfortunately Silhouette Studio and Canvas Workspace don’t have this capability to “read” linetype id’s built into their software yet (that I am aware of), but I will update you if it’s added!
Important Update: With the update of Design Space 6.9, you no longer need to resize your page to your design using ctrl + shift + r so please skip this step in the video.

I am sad to report that as of August 27, 2021 this assignment of line types is no longer working in Design Space. Apparently Cricut messed with the software again with their latest update.
I thought I was making a mistake in how I was assigning the line type on a recent card I made. That wasn’t the case. I tried uploading files I made a while back. They did upload correctly a few months ago when I first uploaded them to Design Space.. Not so when I uploaded the same cards again today.
Hopefully Cricut will get the software working as it did in the past so this will start working in the future.

Hi Erica, I’m new to your courses but I’m finding them really good, thank you. I have spent quite a long time trying to get this to work, thinking it was something I was doing wrong. This was a fantastic hack and I would have thought it was beneficial for Cricut to keep it working. Just a thought, can you put a note by the video to say it is currently not working? Thank you for sharing regarding Cricut software not working properly. I have been trying and retrying to get the line types to upload correctly from Inkscape to DS. I rewatched Erica’s lesson and double checked that I had the line types coded correctly in Inkscape. I do! But, still no success in DS. Now, at least I know why! Merry Christmas!
