Hmm sounds like something specific to your computer. Just tested it and is working properly. Can you email me a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Yay! It’s a real game changer to be able to add these for not only working with pens but also foil, engraving, etc.

I love this! However, I get all the way to do the intersection and nothing happens. I follow step by step. I have done it over and over, starting at the very beginning, following the video, and…..nope. I don’t know whyyyyyy…

Yep, you would do it with a clipping mask in Inkscape which we go over in this tutorial: https://members.svgandme.com/quick-win-glitter-mockups/

Excellent.
Hatch Fill PDF Cheat Sheet will not open with my Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Also would not open the Hatch Fill Spacing guide. Maybe because .part was added after the pdf. extension.

Thank you. I’m really interested in designing text. Can’t wait to try it. Aine

Woohoo. I was looking for this very thing, but kept using the word “stripe” in search. Then I looked at the menu and fund tutorials. Forgive, a bit slow. BUT THANK YOU!
Glad you found it!
Hi Erica, Im trying to hatch fill a font, in this case I am trying to do coffee icons. I can kindof get it to work but every time I save it and load into design space it comes up really big. What am I doing wrong? Can you actually hatch fill picture fonts so that they draw the actual picture colored in and not just the outline?
Before you save and upload, select the entire design and do ctrl + shift + r (PC) or command + shift + r (Mac) to resize the page to your design. Then you should be able to save and not have the uploading scale issue.
Thank you. That works. 🙂
You’re welcome!
I can’t get the pdf to print either. Wish I wasn’t still a paper person, but I like to reference while I’m designing. If you figured out a solution, that would be great.
Oops, sorry… I did get it to print. My printer issue…. Thanks
Glad you got it working!
Very Cool!
Yes, I love this capability!
Erica, you did it again! You blew my mind with this technique…and I can’t wait to put it into practice! I’m so glad that I got the membership for learning more about my Cricut. I’ve been using one form or another of this machine since 2009 and I’ve learned more from you in the last two months than I did in the last 12 years!!!
Makes me sooo happy to hear!
Hey Hun,
I am so glad you created this as all the tutorials I have seen are based inside design space and really limit the size of what you’d be able to fill. I really want to use this feature for a design i’d like to engrave on a acrylic LED Light but I am really nervous to try it. I was hoping you’d be able to maybe make a tutorial walking through the process of creating the hatch fill (what sizing would be best for engraving for cricut) and then how to do engraving with cricut please.
Love your work,
Thanks.
