Correct – bottom to top and you can put the little raised adhesive dots in between to add a little depth if you’d like. I go over how to create a solid background layer at about minute 15:00 in the video π

If your design is small the 1 px offset may be too much. I would select everything (lock proportions) and resize to make larger OR you can adjust your offset settings to smaller like 0.25 px.

does there need to be a lot of contrast between the item and the black background? EX. a white onesie as opposed to a blue onesie over the black background? I used a dark-stained piece of wood over a black poster board….it didn’t work out ♀️
