IMPORTANT UPDATE:

One of our members called to my attention that when you edit the date on the template it requires you to readjust the vertical kerning I had set so that it is positioned correctly on the template. This video below walks you through exactly how to do that after you edit the date on the template.

    Am I missing something. I feel stupid. Ive tried and tried. I can t get the letters to attach to the other circles again.
    I have altered the text
    Ive done path union to the name, date etc
    Ive duplicated the squares
    Selected the square and largest circle then done path difference (all good to here)
    Then I hold shift and select name then path union but i cannot for the life of me get the name to attach to the first layer.

    Ive watched and watched – what am i missing?

    Hi Erica
    When I do path union my letters are not changing colour and when I move the layer they all go together at first when I go back to move the letters are not attached

    Hey Erica,
    I couldn’t help but share this because it just blew my mind lol. I’ve been wanting to make this exact shadow box for a while now as I saw it on Pintrest but I just kept putting it off/couldn’t completely make up my mind on the exact gift I wanted to give my sister in law for the birth of her new little boy. Plus I am pregnant myself and have just had zero motivation. but then I saw your email and I was like okay it’s a sign I have to do it now. Then as I was going to edit it with Theodore’s stats I almost died from shock and laughter because literally the only thing I had to change was the name and month. everything else was the exact same except august instead of september lol.

    Hi Erica, My sister just had a baby so I’m trying this shadowbox for her. My issue is when I changed the date it move to the top of the circle instead of staying inside where the time of birth is. All i did was click the date and start typing and it moved. Help!

    I am stuck – I have grouped my object – but when I go to dulicate it – it duplicates the entire project, circles and wording. What am I doing wrong???? I really want to make this..Kelley
